EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Woodworking and Mechanical Technicians and Leads

RDV is currently filling Technician and Lead positions in our woodworking and mechanical departments.

  • Woodworking/Cabinetmaker Lead/Tech – responsibilities include: cabinet making and finishing (paint/poly/varnish); counter-top, table, furniture, and trim fabrication; structural and aesthetic epoxy pours; and CNC design/operation.

  • Mechanical Lead/Tech– responsibilities include: installation and body work for vehicle upgrades including windows, fans, air-conditioners and roof racks, rooftop solar, swivel seats, and underbody tanks.  Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics and electrical systems is also required for installations of second alternators and integrations with our electrical systems in coordination with our electrical group.

Openings are based on our organizational structure, but please don’t hesitate to apply if you have any combination of the following skills and we can figure out where you fit: cabinetmaker, furniture building, framer, vehicle upfitter, vehicle mechanic, CNC design and operation, welder, 12/48V electrical, vehicle wrap, engineering-manufacture-design. Responsibilities for the Technician and Lead positions are as follows:

  • Tech - should have some of the skills listed below and the ability and interest to learn the others.

  • Lead – will manage the department, including oversight of personnel as the department expands, should have most of the skills listed (with the exception of CNC design/operation), and must be able to quickly fill in skills gaps where lacking.  All leads will be responsible for production/fabrication within the department, including meeting delivery schedules for each project, ensuring build quality, coordination and integration with other build departments (electric, plumbing, woodworking, and mechanical), and increasing departmental efficiency through ongoing analysis of products and processes.

We value aptitude and attitude as much as we do specific experience.  Because our work is highly specialized, we are seeking broad experience in the different departments above and can train qualified applicants to the specifics.  Not having comprehensive experience in each area will not exclude an applicant from consideration, but preference will be given, especially for lead positions, to broad experience within a field and familiarity with related building/construction fields.
